A Walk-a-thon around Mizpah Pond is scheduled every last Sunday of August. Aug. 30, 2009 is scheduled
for this year. The proceeds will be used to engrave cancer survivors’ nameplates on the wall and help
support this beautiful place called Mizpah. Your generosity will help preserve the cancer survivors’ wall and
help maintain the grounds at Mizpah for years to come

The cement wall stretches 36 feet long and its highest point stands at 6 feet high. The wall is to
commemorate past and existing cancer survivors.

else in his hands. For you will survive this cancer whether it is for 2 hours, 2 days, 2 months, 2 years or 20
years. “YOU ARE A SURVIVOR”

How to Make a Walking Team and What For
Somebody takes charge and forms a team. Your team maybe made up of family members, brothers & sisters, a
group of co-workers from a department store, a group of card players, golfers, club members, or friends, etc.
Your team may consist of two or as many as you want it to be. The goal is for each team to raise a minimum of
$100.00 and more. The team will walk in honor of a cancer survivor or survivors they so choice whether it is a
relative, a loved one or a friend (either past or still living). For each $100.00 the team raises; an engraved
nameplate will be attached to the Cancer Survivor Wall in honor of whom they are walking for.
If you live too far away or cannot do the walk-a-thon event you may still participate. Whether you are from St.
Francis, Me., Bristol, Conn., Miami, Florida, etc. you may join this walk-a-thon by simply filing out the form along
with your $100.00 donation to the address mentioned. Give us the name of the individual who has or has had
cancer and check the past & existing cancer survivor box. (Give us the R.I.P. date if you need to). His/her
name will be placed on the Cancer Survivor Wall. There are also sections on the wall for individuals who are
supporters of this project. Simply fill out the form with your name and check the supporter box. Should you want
to donate in memory of someone, simply enter the name or names and check the in memory of box. Within a
week of receiving your donation a nameplate will be engraved and attached to the Cancer Survivor wall.
